NRA membership cards

Iam a Lifetime member of the NRA... I just realized 2023 was the last year they sent me a physical memembership card .Yes I know i can get on they're web page and print my card off .Iam just wanting to know. Are other Lifetime members also not getting a real card from them or did they leave me off of they're mailing list?

yes true ... but my shooting range requires members to be NRA members .I always had to send in a scanned copy of my NRA card with my name and NRA membership number on it .hence the question .now i have to get it off the computer .only reason i need the number .or pic of card .I just have to make sure i put one up somewere .never know about web sites or computers

I'm a Life Member. I lost my wallet last year, I called NRA and they sent me a new card.

They sent me a life time endowment card March of 2016... last one I've gotten.

I've been an Endowment Member for a long time. The last card they sent me had no date, but I found one dated 2023. :)

They sent me this one in 2021. I figured all Life Members had Life Member printed on their card.
If so, you should never have to update your membership with any shooting range, group, organization, etc.
My membership expires when I do.

I am a benefactor life member and have not received a new membership card for years….and frankly, don’t a new one every year. I get a new Golden Eagles membership card each year that I renew that membership.

My wife and three kids are all life members and they haven't received new cards for years either….

I can't remember the last time that I got a new card. My Life membership has no expiration date so I didn't think it matters. I don't carry it with me. If I carried every card that I receive my wallet would we two inches thick.

It too am a life member. It was obvious after the first year that they would continue to bring out higher levels (costs) of membership. When I don't bite that hook, they seem to lose interest in maintaining "lifetime" status.

I have been a Life / Benefactor Member since 1968, every 10 years of so NRA sends me a new card, I expect they realize they wear out occasionally. Usually WLP included an appeal for me to send another donation so he could buy another suit on Rodeo Drive. The most important thing you remember or keep in a safe place is your NRA Number. The President now has a member's accessible page on the NRA web site, this allows access/transparency to the members/association documents like By-laws etc. As a competitor the NRA Number is my "Competitor Number" so it is not just your subscription number.

I'm a Life member for maybe 15 to 20 years. I rec'd a card marked as so and never a new one. Used to be bombarded with solicitations for money so I called them up and said "Stop" and told them that I knew where to send money if I ever wanted to donate! They stopped. With Wayne gone, my opinion of the NRA has improved and they are worth supporting now since those three initials give liberals strokes!

If you’re still receiving an NRA magazine cut out the address box. It has your name and NRA member #. My club accepts that as proof of NRA membership.

There's three levels of enhanced life membership: benefactor, patron, and endowment.

Have no clue what you mean by they lost interest.

I had to renew my NRA instructor credentials. If I want a nifty plastic card, it's $6. Yeah, six bucks.

I'm rather irked with the NRA instruction programs. They eliminated the certificate from the student packet. They want too much control over the enrollment process. I just maintain my certification so that I can say that "I'm an instructor". Twenty years ago, it allowed me to help out at the rifle range at Boy Scout camp.

Annual member here.... get some kind of card every year.... Also get American RIfleman magazine and simply send the address lable with my name etc when I renew my annual gun club dues.

Interesting, thing a couple recent court cases brought forth by and won by the NRA give the privileges of the win only to NRA members. Hoping this signals the return of the NRA.

I'm a life member and do not need a card to prove it. I have a huge stack of American Rifleman magazines going back a very long time I can give to anyone who may feel the need to question me:)

The NRA stopped sending out certification expiration notices to renew my instructor certs. I missed the date by 6 months. My fault, as seemed to me they use to mail out notices, didn't see it. Now I have to go back and sit through several classes if I want them back. I've been a life member since graduating from Colorado School of trades in 1976. Last person I spoke to about renewing the training certificates showed no empathy. I won't be going back for renew them. I'm for one I'm glad to see La Pierre leave.

I could also look on my card. I really have no need to know the number. The old number stuck in my head and won't go away.

Companies used to mail a lot of stuff that they don't bother with anymore.

I don't recall getting a notification, I was just looking to replace my card because I had lost my wallet. I was surprised to see that my certs had expired. Maybe they're trying to get rid of the casual instructor and only have the steroid enhanced guys with the high and tight haircuts.

Now I have to go back and sit through several classes if I want them back.

I'm with you. If they told me that I had to sit through a bunch of classes because I was late sending my check in, I'd just say "bag it."

About a decade ago, my daughter was interested in getting her instructor certification. There was some sort of bureaucratic nonsense that she didn't want to deal with. I think that it was an insistence that she take the online course for basic pistol. The fact that she had done the NRA Basic Pistol course when she was ten was irrelevant. She said screw it.
