Gentlemen,
There are the 3 known box variations for the un-cataloged NR4-F revolvers and two of those are in the first variation.
1st variation NR4-F revolvers #268-00554, #268-03454 & #268-03455 were shipped in the Ruger standard yellow, red & black box with a brown shipper with the model label on the shipper.
The extra cylinder was in bubble wrap, small brass lock w/key, paper work.
How ever my 1st variation revolver #268-03410, shipped in an early plastic case with a white shipper. Top left hand side early plastic case & white shipper, the early cases had the pebbled texture on the ends so the model label was placed on the shipper.
All variations after the 1st came with large lock w/key and the little "yellow" envelope in the new footed plastic case with the end smooth for the model label, eliminating the need for a shipper.
