RSS4 box variation

Anyone seen this variation of the RSS4 box? The tape was still stuck to the box when I received it, but the adhesive has now failed and has now fallen off the box. It came to me with a 134XXX RSS4 in it but the serial number on the box shows a 4XX,XXX range. I've always assumed it was put on there after leaving the factory but curious if there are others are out there like it.

Does it say RSS4 under the sticker? I could understand it if they were repurposing a different box perhaps.

No, standard RSS5 box.

I would guess it to be a factory sticker. Looks like the same style that my RSS4 box has that indicates "walnut grips"

yes, I've seen them in the 428xxx range.
A 134xxx range RSS4 should have a box without catalog numbers on the end.

I pulled the box out tonight to see if I could make out the serial number any better. I'm pretty sure the number is 428630. There is almost zero ink left so I'm only able to see the indentions left by the pen way back when.

For now, the 134,XXX is going to continue to live in it.
