Now looking at chrony's

Went to the gun shop today, they had a pro chrono for $329 or about 350 US$ the things online sell for about 100 US$ but has any body used them, are they any good?I used to have a chrony years ago I think the said were about 175$ AUS The current model. Want to take the reloading to the next level any recommendations would be welcome. Will try and buy online to save money

Buy one with its brain separate from the skyscreens.
I use a PACT One.

Midway USA has the F1 for around $85. Yes they work very well. We've checked mine against more expensive brands and found no significant differences in performance.

JMO, but I think the Shooting Chrony is a lot of bang for the buck, and extremely rugged too. I've had one for 5 yrs or more with no complaints..

(Of course, I don't shoot it either! :lol: )

I bought a Chrony, whatever the old, red simple one is with cardboard skyscreens for something like $35 at a gun show in about 1994 or so. Still works great for me.

I've shot the little cardboard screens, but not the guts like some people have, lol....

Thanks for your comments guys. My old one was red as well. It met its demise when I believed I could check my shotgun reloads. it got a face full of No3 shot. The problems I remember (about '95-96) with it were those sky screens kept blowing off and it would also have a few misreads per session which were annoying

I only get misreads when I hit the cardboard skyscreens and confetti blows all over the place!!!
