Local store has a stainless 77 with iron sights and boatpaddle stock in 300 Win Mag. I cannot remember seeing many with irons. Looks new.

Rare gun?
Whats it worth?

My brother has one .
I don't know what they are worth , but I can tell you it has a little kick .
It shoots good though . He has killed lots of animals with his.

The stock seems to be a love it or hate it thing. Me? I really like them. Actually prefer them to most others.

I had a stainless 30-06 with the boat paddle stock. I was able to trade the stock for one of the nicest take off walnut stocks I've seen. To me the sights would be a nice bonus. To me they would be worth an easy $75 over a similar rifle without sights. As far as rarity or collectibility I don't think the collectors really care.

Yes, rare with sights! But the boat paddle collectors haven't attached much if any additional value to the RS models for some reason.
I will say I have no idea why the boat paddles are bringing what they are, unless maybe at the time a while back they were really affordable and guys starting putting away sets of all calibers, then it became a competition amongst these guys.
But think about this... There were 1-1/4 MILLION (!!!) M77 Mark II rifles produced. As you know, stainless models with black synthetic stocks were offered throughout that entire time span. 2/3 of that stainless/zytel stock production WERE BOATPADDLES!!! There are a ton of boatpaddles out there folks!!
But yes... stainless boatpaddles with sights are rare, probably representing well under 10% of total boatpaddle production.

I have several zytel/ boat paddle all weather m77's. I buy them when the seller isn't asking stupid $$$$. Iron sights are definitely uncommon on them. The ones I have with iron sights are 338 win mag ,300 win mag & 243 win. I believe they only put iron sights on the 223,243,270,30-06,7mm Rem mag, 300 win mag & 338win mag.
I have Never seen a 223 with iron sights yet. I happen to like the look of the iron sights on a ruger m77

Id love to find a boat paddle 3006 with sights.
Id also love to find a 2506 boat paddle under $1200.00

The 77/22 and the 77/22 mag boat paddles came with sights as well

Yes the 77/22's & 10-22 zytel stock had sights as well. I just seen a 30-06 with sights on guns international but I believe it was missing the whole rear sight. Or I would have snatched it up.

There was a local guy that had a skeleton stainless 3006 RS without a rear sight iat the last November Tulsa show.
It was a bit rougher than i wanted to pay 1200 for though.
And i didnt know where to get
rear sight at the time.
