No.1 question

Just a simple curiosity question. I was showing a Liberty 22-250 no. 1 to a friend last night and he asked about a red dot on the action just in front of the lever. I had never noticed it and we checked my other no. 1's. None of the others had it. Any opinions?

Sounds like it has a Mould's speed hammer to me. That, or someone added this feature to a Ruger hammer.

Thanks for the help. This particular gun has had a different trigger installed and has been bedded so the speed hammer makes sense. Again, thanks for the feedback. Ken.
