My wife made the following observation about today's weather, overcast, around 60 degrees:

"It's not hot and its not cold. Just uncomfortable."

We set an all time high temp for Feb 21 today, tomorrow will be ten
degrees cooler and Snow Thursday evening, with snow possible all
day Friday. I always thought that was just Colorado.

Sometimes I wonder. On our radio a couple days ago the commentator on KOA Denver radio said the temperature had set a new high record for that day of the month.

Then later in the day, on KOA, a different commentator said that the warm temperature was the warmest for that day of the month since higher temperatures were recorded on the same day, each time on six different years in the 1930's. He stated that the highest temperature recorded in Denver on that day of the month was recorded in 1931.

I guess it depends on where the temperature is measured. Here on our ranches we have the weather records since the 1960's on the South ranch and 1980's on the North ranch. The weather has been warm for a few days but not as warm as some other February days on some years in the past. It hasn't been warm enough yet to melt all of our snow. March is our snowiest month so I don't expect to see green grass sprouting yet.

We get a lot of that here, too. Fox Mike, look at what global warming did to you guys in just one year!!
I would put it more on El Nino weather patterns than anything else. Shucks, the Earth has been warming up since the last Ice Age. . . much like it has done numerous times in the past. Remember that at one time what is now DC was under water and a semi-tropical area (though it is still a swamp). :D :D

That's the most gracious, well-mannered way I've ever heard of for complaining about the weather.

Thank you, CaryC. That's a pretty good description of my wife.
