She gets me from A to B :D

I know this doesn't belong here, but I rarely ever post in the Lounge so I figured this will explain why I might not be so active a member for the next few days :).

2006 350Z, 6 Speed Manual. Blast to drive. I've probably sat still for about a solid hour in all this afternoon, otherwise, I've been driving and showing her off. This baby rides on rails and handles like a dream. Traded in my 2007 Silverado 4x4 and got a good deal.

Guess it's worth mentioning that this isn't my first Z Car. My first car, at 16, was a 1986 300ZX, 5 Spd. I miss that ride and ever since I found out the Z was coming back, I knew I'd have to have one come hell or high water. Feels like a void has been filled.

Cool stuff! You clearly do not get as much snow as we do though! :D

A Z car is one of the few that I would purchase if I ever strayed from the Blue Oval. My 2011 F150 is ordered and should be built by the end of January and hopefully its here by late Feb. I'm stoked for it!

Heck no we don't get any snow, I've got the AC on at my house right now. Gonna be in the 30s by Sunday I think.

The new Ford trucks are nice, I'd drive one, but as you can see, I have no real use for a truck :)

Yea, my cousin was up for a family visit from LA and couldn't believe the number of pickups here. The new F150 actually beats my Jeep in fuel mileage, 21 v. 19, while making 160 more HP.

Ah, yeah, a lot faster than most! Be careful you don't skip B and C in a blurr... nice ride man. Would love a fun sprts car but it would have to fit my 6:5 frame as so far not much has.

Nice Josh, my brother has one, really fun to drive. I gave up my Silverado for something fun also but I didn't stray too far from the truck feel, I picked up a Chevy SSR, its red also. Have fun!

Thanks guys, hoping it's not going to rain today, the temp is just right for having the windows down.

Josh

Congratulations Josh-Good to see you getting to enjoy a new toy.

ahhh love Z cars my first car at 16 was a white 88 300 zx. The new Zs are so sweet. Have fun with it but be safe.
Happy new year all!!!!

Josh, you're in Texas, where are you going to mount the longhorns on it?

I could try to find a way to turn it into a spoiler maybe.

Very nice, mine was the greyish/brown metallic color. They had some really cool features on those Z31's. I miss the lady telling me my lights were on over the speakers.

Josh, you picture is making me homesick. I haven't been to TX in 40 years and your picture reminds me of my old neighborhood. Nice car, be careful.

Sweet ride Josh! Thanks for shareing. (I was wondering about the new shift knob pic on your posts.)

Thanks, it's a titanium Nismo (Nissan Motorsports) knob. I had it on my old Sentra SER Spec V. Now I have a constant in all my Nissans as they will all be 6 speed manuals :)

I agree with Ale-8(1) on the color. By the way Ale, I love that drink. This car isn't a Ruger but it is still sweet. Congrats on the A-Z vehicle, lol. Much sweeter that my current ride.

that explains your new picture....

i LOVE manual transmissions...
i am going to be old and gray before i buy a vehicle with an automatic over something more fun.

a 350z is one of the few non-mopar cars i would like to own.
RAD RIDE!

have fun (but not too much  )

I can buy an automatic, in a truck for sure, but in a car, especially a Nissan, nope!

Here's me and my old '86 300ZX back in 2004, no T-Tops, Non-Turbo, 5 spd manual.

Took her out for a good solid drive yesterday, handles like nothing else on a good twisty road. Just keep her aimed between the lines and she'll do the rest. Inspires a lot of confidence when I'm driving. Need to pick up some new car wash supplies, things you don't worry about when you have a pickup.

Josh

OK so you go from Awesome to Beaucoup in your Z. All the other letters of the alphabet are superfluous at 150 MPH. ;)

Be safe and have fun. We know you will. It's a tight, agile car and I understand why you like 'em, particularly with the pedigree.

Watch the lift-throttle oversteer. If you're going fast enough to worry about it, you probably already know how to handle it. :)
