New guy here. Already did my post in the new members section but thought I'd post a pic of my new SR9C and my last target of the day my first time out with it. Obviously I need to work on trigger control to fix my low left problem but overall, very pleased with the accuracy of this little baby. Shot 100 flawless rounds with it.

And here's my last target. There's one round way low (almost cut off in the pic) but pretty happy with the other nine at 7 yards.

Your target looks pretty darned good. Your first time out with a new gun can be a challenge. Glad it's reliable for you.

Thanks Sonny. Forgot to mention that I got it for $400 plus tax. Form what I'be seen from the online gun dealers I think I got a pretty good deal.

I've been shooting for almost 40 years, and never had problems with low left until I bought my SR9C. The problem I had with it was due to a stiff trigger pull and too much overtravel. It is very common to have to pull extra hard on a stiff trigger and when that happens, one tends to shoot low left, especially when shooting quickly. The Ghost Rocket install changed everything and now my groups are dead on. In an emergency situation, you don't have the time to bench rest your weapon and sight in, it has to be fast and on target. My trigger mod. made all the difference.

You do realize that the trigger on the SR9c is one of the lightest and shortest of pulls of any as far as striker fired guns go?

I have shot a bit in my life and found many triggers on well made DA/SA pistols to be somewhat more of an issue than the trigger on the SR9c when it comes to shooting targets.

...but my point is the SR9c isn't a target gun or anything close to that, it is a carry gun and the trigger is light for it's kind and it's accuracy is very good for a short barreled pistol.

I will tell you this, the common problem with a right hand shooter shooting low and left isn't the trigger, it's the flinch.

I always find it funny when someone blames the gun when it was really the loose nut behind the wheel.

I wondered that myself. From what I've learned about heavy trigger is just the opposite...shoots right.

I think I'll just get in some more practice with it before I do any modifications. I don't have much experience with striker fired guns but I can tell you that the trigger on my SR9C is much better that the one on my XD(M) that I sold. The C has no creep and breaks very crisply. I think the reset is shorter as well. I'm very happy with it so far and am convinced that with a little more practice, I (not the gun) will become more accurate. I might even go out on a limb and say that this little gun might just replace my Beretta 92fs as my favorite.

I don't want to argue with you but you do need to read my post. Nowhere did I say crappiest trigger ever, and the bottom line is very simple: Trigger was fair at best and groupings were adequate before modification. Now after ghost install; smoother softer faster trigger with dead-on groupings. Proof is in the pudding! You can say what you want, I'm done with you!

The proof isn't in the pudding, it is in targets shot at a respectable range, say fifty feet. I read your first post in the thread and you also mention something about rapid shooting, I know a bit about that kind of stuff, I don't use a trigger overtravel stop on any of my guns, they're a crutch. As I said before, learning to shoot your gun solves those issues.

I agree with Double P. I really don't see the issue with the SR9c trigger. This is my first striker fired pistol after using many DA/SA pistols, 1911s, and revolvers. The SR9c has as good of a production trigger that I've ever used. I have no complaints and no problems.

The low and left issue described can probably be corrected by checking your grip. Many of us on short gripped pistols tend to cock the wrist a little in the process of trying to solidify our grip, or pull left with the off hand. I'm sure practice will solve that problem for you!

One of the things I like most about my SR9c is the trigger. Reading professional reviews there are many compliments on the improvement of the c trigger. One expert even joked with Ruger asking "who made the trigger for you?" LOL.

As I've been taught, if it works, dont fix it. 8)

I read that same review...don't remember where though since I think I've read every review out there on the SR9c!
