Picked up a new SR40c last Friday. Took it to the range this morning. Ran 200 rounds through it with no problems what so ever.

Brought it home and cleaned it. Then did a nice fluff and buff on the barrel and loaded it up with some Gold Dots. Sure makes these SRs look nice when you get rid of that pot metal looking finish on the receiver. I'm thinking it's ready to carry now.

I sure like mine it's eaten about 600 rounds now everything from WWB to my slightly hot hand loads in various bullet configurations without a burp. Accurate too. I was pleasantly surprised that it shoots well for me with the flat magazine bottom, no need for the cumbersome pinky extension. The recoil is a lot milder than I expected considering the cartridge and the compact size of the pistol.

They are excellent little pistols.

My wife bought one about a month ago, after 'trying on' everything in the dealer's handgun case. Upon locking the SR40C in a two hand grip, she declared "Now this one FITS me!" Shoots it pretty well too. Trigger was gritty at first but a little oil in the right places and it's become a two-stage single action pull of about 5 pounds, with a decent break. The 1911-esque safety is a comfort to those familiar with that pistol; the 1911, as it happens, is the first gun I taught her to shoot. I shoot a lot of different .40's, in my line of work, and I do believe this is the softest=shooting .50 I've ever fired.

Peg's little SR40C has been 100% with my .40 bulk reloads as well as factory loads from Speer, Remington, Federal and CCI. Believe it has around 300 rounds through it at this point.

Welcome to the club, check out galloway precicision of you want to further spiff that gun up by replacing stock plastic components with shiny stainless and aluminum. Mine has been flawless through close to 1500 rounds in my first two months or so of having it. You made a good choice.

Already have the Galloway website saved to favorites. After Christmas is over, I'm going shopping!

I have everything he has availble except the LCI replacement. The ghost trigger does an awesome job.

I also polished the LCI, the extractor, and the take down pins flat surface. Shiny is much better than dull.
