since i lost the bid on my 77/22 i started to shoot my 10/22 again. I'm going to remove the scope and use the iron sights, problem is i cant stand the stock ones! Was looking at HiVise and they seem nice, anyone have a good fiber optic sight i should buy? I want one that the same height as stock, i did read on line that HiVise are a little shorter than the Stock Ruger ones and this makes you have to keep your head very low if you use them??

seems these are the "big" iron sight upgrade? for plinking and picking off rabbit etc don'tnt think they will be very good. Plus don'tnt like the big M16 looking sights my self

Williams WGOS with the standard steel (not Firesights).... http://www.midwayusa.com/product/52...16-gold-bead-aluminum-black?cm_vc=subv1259159

Put them on my daughter's 10/22 for training and she used them at her Appleseed shoot and did extremely well.....

If you want a set of sights that will still allow you to use your scope occasionally Williams makes a scope mount that has the WGOS peep at the back end http://www.midwayusa.com/product/259159?cm_vc=S014 so you always have it available. This will be going on my 10/22 when the weather warms enough to go out shooting in the backyard again.

tmullanejr the mounts you suggested are nice, but is it really better than stock? My problem now is that with the tiny brass dot on the front sight my eye gets blurry when looking at rabbit, cans etc. Me and my son shoot are Daisy BB guns almost ever day and when i look down the sight, standard black rear and white front my eye never gets blurry and I'm always in focus with the BB gun. I just want something like the Daisy iron sight so i can stay focused.....

Much much better than stock.... stock sights are open sights... these peep sights make life a lot easier even on my 64 yr old eyes
You will find the front sight is sharp and the peep you are looking through will virtually be an invisible blur
