I have been waiting forever for a lcp 22lr I may have to get one.
I’ll be watching the shelf at the LGS for these.
What a neat idea, 10+1 with an easy to rack slide. What's not to like? Good job, Ruger pat pat pat 
I think I may acquire one as well.... So much for downsizing.... :roll:
If it proves to be reliable and accurate at 20 paces for squirrel, rabbit, tin cans I"ll likely be buying one. Price point should be pretty good I would think? What's not to like a pocket .22lr for plinking fun and whatever else wants to use it for.

Boy those are really tiny differences from the SR22P.
As a "training" gun, if you have an LCP, it would save a lot on ammunition, but how
much would you have to shoot to offset the $350 initial cost?

I see the new LCP22 as a packable kit/tacklebox gun. So if you needed/wanted such a gun this would be a good one. Will wait a year for the street price to come down and then take a look at it.

Picked up one at the LGS this weekend and ran it through it's paces at our indoor 50ft range.
I ran an assortment of ammo through it. Here's a list of what I tried.
Federal Automatch
CCI Std Vel
CCI Mini Mags
CCI Copper
CCI Stinger
CCI Segmented HV HP
Only had one FTF with the CCI Copper and one premature slide lock with the CCI segmented. All in all several hundred rounds fired. Glad to see std vel worked fine.
Offhand accuracy was in the 2-3" groups with the ammo tried but I was more interested in functioning than group size. I'll do more accuracy tests later but the sights lined up well with the target.
Other than you only get one magazine, I was impressed. Fun little gun.

My FFL just got the extra mags in today. They were $30 for one, or he had value packs of two for $40. The value packs are listed on the Ruger website as well for $48
Bud’s has these little pistols now. I want one, but will wait a bit for a local shop purchase.
UPDATE....just bought one this morning. I won’t pick it up for a week or so....dang Washington state laws.... in any case, $349 OTD from a local shop.

I don’t think it would be accurate enough to rabbit of squirrel hunt. As an Kit gun for on the river fishing/snake gun it should work well.

I bought one, picked it up first week in Jan. Out of the box it would fail to fire about 7 of the 10 rounds in a mag. Appeared to be light primer strikes, and I tried 4 types of ammo - Winchester 40g hp, Winchester 36g hp, Federal Auto Match 40g, and Remington Golden 40g. Ruger customer service was super, I had the gun back in less than 2 weeks. They replaced the barrel and tes fired with Aguila & Federal ammo. I was told they didn't recommend Winchester ammo (I didn't ask why - wish now that I had). At any rate, it now fires reliably with the Federal and Remington ammo and I haven't had a single fail to fire or fail to feed. Wincheater ammo doesn't fire at all - even less than before. So in this regard, I'm less than satisfied - every .22 I've ever owned has preferred some brands over others but never to the degree that some wouldn't fire.
But the little gun is accurate, off a rest I get mostly 2-3" groups at 15 yds. And it shoots almost to point of aim. The safety doesn't bother me - I just ignore it. There are slight dimensional differences between this one and my original LCP enough that it might not be able to share a Kydex holster. The LCPII is a tight fit in my leather IWB holster that is a perfect fit for my LCP. But all-in-all this is a really fun gun to shoot.
Maybe some of you have an idea why Winchester ammo won't fire reliably. Harder or thicker brass?

I picked one up last week.
Have put about 600 rounds so far.
Seems very reliable and handles well for such a small piece.
