Hi Gentlemen,
This is my first post because I recentely bought my first revolver. So upon reciept I do the usual take down, clean and inspect. Once I got the gun back together I wanted to familiarize myself with the "safe" decocking method of removing the trigger finger off the trigger while lower the hammer. Thats when I noticed something very unsettling once in about every 20 or so decocks as soon as I start to lower the hammer I feel ALOT of metal to metal friction so much so that the hammer spring is having difficulty overcoming the friction. And about halfway through the trigger resetting the trigger takes a jump forward instead of the steady movement it usually has. So I take the gun down again and polish the trigger spring channel etc. The trigger & hammer are totally free of any friction throughout their entire travel. So I am at a loss right now any ideas? thanks

About the only thing that comes to mind is, the hammer spring is it in correctly? The claw like side sits on a block on the trigger guard side of the frame.
