I received a gun at my FFL holder(gunsmith) that was used& abused, not just a used gun. Can he just return to shipper as he would a repair??

It sounds like you bought from an individual and he shipped it to your FFL.
If that is the case then I would think your FFL could answer the question.
The problem is will they person you bought it from reimburse your money or trade ?

If it had been shipped to your FFL to be repaired, then the FFL could return it directly to the owner. Since the owner sold it, legally it is not his anymore and if returned it would be returned to the FFL closest to the seller to have it transferred back to him.

That said, is it abused so much that it can't be repaired? If not, is the seller ok with giving you part of your money back to have the repairs done? If it can't be repaired, the seller should refund you your money and your FFL needs to ship it back to an FFL of the sellers choice.

Well, won't do return,so I will be be stuck with it. Wasn't a member of this forum. I've had nothing but great transactions here. I did do a negative feedback on the Trapshooter forum on him. Nane was Fenton Sandlin of Alba Tx. Live & learn!
