I fitted a used New Model grip to the left side after installing the correct blackened hardware and medallion in it. I gave the grips a couple of coats of Min-Wax Satin Tung Oil Finish to make them match better. Just a cheap shooter and woodsbum pistol.

Nice job and nice plum color. All my guns are "woods" guns. There's not a gun I own, I wouln't take to the woods, but then that's just me!.......................Dick

You done good and it looks ust fine...like it
Dan you could do a little cosmetic work on that gun and it would be a even better looking gun --perfect shooter SBH to mess with :)

It came with a Hogue Monogrip on it and the original grips. Bubba had filed some finger grooves in the left pannel.

I sure hate to let them take it apart and put the new parts in it.

Why not take out the old parts before you ship it to Ruger? That's what I do.
I have several OM Rugers that have been refinished and/or rebuilt by the Factory. They look GREAT! They are not "Safe Queens", they are Shooters! :D

flatgate

PS Here's one of them......and I fitted the brass grip frame after Ruger did the refinish work.
