Last week I saw an advertising for this Bearcat.
I never had one before so I made and offer and it was accepted.
My wife saw it and said it was "cute"... a "cute" gun?!?!?!?!

It's in about 90% condition but mechnically perfect.
The serial number is 255XX range (if it means anything).

I paid $250 for this revolver.
How did I do?

I'd a bought it for $250, think you did great. Give it to your wife and she will be so grateful, she'll let you buy another gun for yourself.

I just found out that based on the serial number, this pistol was built in 1963... year of my birth. Thats pretty cool!

I have to admit I bought my stainless Bearcat because I thought it was "cute." My wife thought the same, but commented she thought it was a little on the small side for good hand fit. She is right, too.

My main complaint on the stainless Bearcat is the shiny front sight. It is attractive, but I find it hard to use in sunlight.

I got a 1967 Bearcat for $270 shipped, last month. Nice little pistol, until my wife saw it and I haven't been able to get it back!!!

Really nice. I think you did well. The photo looks better than 90%. Trigger guard like new? Grips are especially nice wood.

Is it safety converted (transfer bar)?

I guess my two stainless 'Cats are "cute", but I like them because they are simple, and no larger than necessary. I look for that in most anything I buy. No excess, no features I don't need or want.

Good buy! They are fun guns. My wife too likes them (first pistol she ever fired).

When you plan on shooting it simply 'smudge it up' with a pocket lighter or match flame. That will darken it and it wipes right off the stainless after the range session.

Can't beat that! I've been shooting the snot out of my stainless New Bearcat over the last year or so and wonder how I survived so long without one.
