I purchased this Blackhawk from Gallery of Guns a few years ago.
Every time I fired it the base pin would slide forward 1/4" or so and jam up. So instead of monkeying around with it, back to Ruger it went. Now the base pin works perfect.

Since the grips didn't fit too well, I ordered a Hunter grip frame and Super hammer from Midway.

After about a month of sanding and polishing, I sent the grip frame out for custom grips.
This is the final results.

I'm not a gun smith, I just like to tinker with stuff.

Looks great! I also have a Ruger .45 Colt (see below), only mine is a Flattop and a convertible (I can shoot .45 ACP with a cylinder swap). But since it is a Flattop, I cannot shoot the top 2 or 3 most powerful .45 Colt ammo (by Buffalo Bore and Garrett). What have you shot with yours, or do you reload?

Very nice, I like those flattop convertibles.
I don't shoot any of the "big boomer" ammo in mine. I do reload. Usually 250 gr lead with a mild to medium load of Unique or Green Dot.
