Model question... KP85C

[Ruger Packer]

Can anyone help me out with a KP85C? An acquaintance recently bought a Ruger KP85C. It came with the original box, which is marked KP85C.

I know the "K" designates that it is stainless. And, that the "P" designates the model. Does anyone know what the "C" designates? Google didn't help. Many thanks for whatever info you can give me on this!! 8)

C is for case IIRC. Originally the case was optional before Ruger started selling ALL p guns in a case. Hope that helps!

You beat me. To be specific the plastic case. Otherwise it would have been in the cardboard box.
