Just got this South Sales 6" Stainless MKIII. Shot 170 rounds of CCI Mini Mag 37gr. HP's and then set up this last target and shot 30 rounds off hand of 10 shots each at 7 1/2, 15, 25 yrds. This is with ammo right out of the plastic box with no sorting by weight or rim thickness. Pretty good for this old man with eyes that need surgery. This gun came with an excellent trigger that is crisp and light. I dont know the exact trigger pull weight or care I just know it's nice. Overall a real nice gun except for it's a little rough in opperation of inserting and removing the magazine. I'm a happy camper although I think my MKII still has the edge.

Looks great. Is there a public range on the NE corner of GR? We'll be up visiting my wifes sister (An investigator with the MSP out of GR) and would like to do some shooting - I want to show her my new 2245...

They are great pistols. Offhand at 25 yds I dropped thirty rounds in the black on a 25 yd target. Not a tight group but my 72 year old eyes aren't what they used to be either.

tomiswho, I've been using this indoor range for 6 years now. It's a great place but geared to staying in business and does cater to the self defense crowd mostly and not much in the way of single actions. I keep a membership for shooting during the winter and on lousey Michigan days. They have 14 or 16 shooting lanes with a great gun inventory, gunsmith, CCW classes, and crew. No I dont get anything for saying this.

I too would say that it shoots just fine, even with the thin barrel. Have you had any jams that suggest the "loaded chamber" indicator is at fault? Usually this would occur as you break the gun in and there has been a lengthy thread about doing away or by-passing the device. With my two MKIIIs, a slabside competition and a 22/45 I've not had one problem. These guns are young yet, less than 200 rds each, but I am most concerned.

wes-ki-mo :(

Thank you Rep1954. the website is temp. down, but I'll keep checking. Wyoming is a bit over 40 miles from where I'll be. I'll be up NE of GR.
