Microsoft is still offering a free upgrade to Windows 10 through December 31st.
Not that I am any fan of Win 10, but thought some of you may have missed the free update before they extended it to December 31st. So here is your chance to get it free. :D
Supposedly it is so users who use any of the assistive technologies can upgrade to it.
I found this info in a Yahoo news article here:
https://www.yahoo.com/news/microsoft-ends-last-free-windows-201500952.html
and in that article there is a link to here:
https://www.microsoft.com/en-us/accessibility/windows10upgrade
the article's link is the word "updated" in this sentence: "Microsoft has quietly updated its site"
The download at the link does check your system to see if it is compatible. (at least on my older laptop just now)
