Today was the day for our annual check-up. And now there is that Medicare Wellness Check where the nurse asks all kind of silly questions to determine if you're senile or not. Questions like "Have you fallen lately? Can you remember these three words?"

Well she asked me one question which drew a surprised "WHAT?!" from me plus a pretty startled look.

She repeated the question, which I understood this time, "When was the last time you had your eyes checked?"

I would have sworn she had asked, "When was the last time you had your a__ kicked?"

It took her awhile to regain her composure.

it's called auto correct... your brain..... just like these new phones and computers... if it doesn't not clearly understand what is said it goes into a search mode to find something close to it.... happens to me all the time.

Do you keep firearms in your home?

Are you kidding me, didn't you notice the one on my belt?
Seriously, my regular Doctor's practice was bought out by the local hospital. Immediately, a sign was posted identifying the clinic as an extension of the hospital and forbidding "weapons" of any kind. On the upside, it makes my weight a few pounds less.

Same here. So far, they haven't mentioned the Leatherman on my belt. I was chased out of the local Social Security office for that one.

:( :( :(

My doctor was a pilot, Harley rider, and has big game heads and stuffed wild cats, and memorabilia in his practice rooms.

You,too? I thought maybe I was the only one who considered a Leatherman a tool vs a "weapon".
