Interesting......there was a question about the feeding of hollow point ammo in the Mark Series guns. I have had much trouble with them in my Mark III 22/45 and specifically just Remmington Yellow Jackets through my 10/22. I just ran 100 rounds of hollow point ammo through my Volquartsen Masters pulling the trigger as fast as I could and it did not cough once. After two more mags of Yellow Jackets in the 22/45 I was convinced that it still, indeed does not like them. My best assumption is the extractor since the issue in the 22/45 was that the empty shell would stay in the barrel as another would be attempting to come to battery. I am going to purchase a Volquartsen Exact Edge extractor for the 22/45. It is a relatively cheap upgrade and I believe money well spent! If it works well the 10/22 will be getting the spring and extractor.

I have VQ extractors in both my Mark pistols. I never have any FTE issues at all. I have to say though, my experience with Remington ammo has not been good. It just won't go bang on a regular basis.

If you're going to replace the extractor, why not do a complete upgrade with the VQ sear, trigger, and a MKII bushing(Clark or VQ)to get rid of the mag disconnector. Those changes made a world of difference on my MKIII.

I will likely do all of those.....eventually but for now just to be able to cycle anything will be a welcome addition.
The Masters is keeping me happy for the monent! :):):)

Is it just me, or does the VQ Masters bear a slight resemblance to Vash's revolver from the Anime series, Trigun? ;)
