I have a 1957 Mark I with a 5 1/4 " barrel and an original ruger muzzle break. Can anyone give me a value of this gun. I know the break is rare but I wondered about the combo. Thanks

If it's a 5-1/4" bbl,, it is worth a little more than it's cousins. As you noted,, the muzzle brake is a desirable item. It's all about condition,, and completeness of a package. (Box, papers, shipper etc.) We need more details,,,!

A serial number would also be good if you would like to post. I've got notes on a bunch of these 514's and some of the RF members right here may have a consecutive # to your gun.
The factory is known to have also shipped a muzzle brake with a few Mark I's (though examples are rare), so maybe a call to the factory to see the status of your gun might be in order?
I'm sure some of the guys here are also begging the question if your gun has tapered bolt ears or normal ears.

I do not have the box. The ears on the back are flat across if thats what your asking. I will have to get the actual serial # tonight but I know it does not have a pre-fix and starts with the # 1. The break does not have INC. on it. It has the 5 1/4 taper barrel and the adjustable rear micro sight. It still is the original finish. I will be more than happy to post the entire # as soon as I can.

I think it starts with #17... and has about 7 or 8 digits. I had measure the taper and it from around 3/4 down to I think around 1/2 to maybe 5/8. I will post the entire # this evening. I had measured the barrel at 5 1/4". It says Mark I on the side and it has an adjustable micro sight on the rear and some type of adjustment screw on the trigger.

Classicaxe has sent me pictures of this gun and it is a T-678 and not a T-514. It does have a muzzle break with no INC.

I did find that I have the original instructions with the gun. It shows on the parts breakdown list that the adjustable trigger that I have was a "factory installed only option" from Ruger. It appears that at that time it was a $1.25 option. Hopefully I will receive a callback from Ruger on Monday.
