Absolutely. Every one who casts should have one.

If I had to keep just 1 the Lyman Cast Bullet Handbook would be it !

It`s worth the $$ for just the ballistic tables alone!

There new book is good but with a little work it could have been better. New caster will find it to be a great place to start and grow from. Clint

I didn't realize how much more cast bullet information there was until I bought the book. I was using the standard Lyman book which is great but I also recommend the Cast Bullet book too.

While getting ya lead ready please don`t melt it in ya new casting pot !

Clean ya lead in a steel pot in a completely different operation.

If your gathering wheel weights be advised alot are ZINC now & are useless for our purposes & will render good metal unfit for casting boolits.

There alot harder than lead ,I check ???1s with side cutters .
Some will have Zn on em to just looking funny & painted just like the lead 1s.

& Congratulations on your decision to free your self from being dependant on the masses for your projectiles !!!!!

Mr. Glenn Fryxell just released some pfd releases that are very good reads for ole timers & noobs alike !!!

Most shooters would be casters if they understood lead casting better !!!

& your not gonna save money !!!, just shoot more so slip an order of primers in somewhere !!!
