in the for what it's worth category , I just called my LP provider to see what prices are , found out they just started their summer fill and IF I purchased over 500 gal. and paid cash ( paid in 15 days ) I could get it for 1.99 gal , the gal I talked too said they expect the price to go higher this summer , so if i could, now was the time to fill up , which is what I'm going to do , I use about 1000 gallons a year so 2 500 gal. tanks will get me most of the way thro to next spring

Well, of course that would be the business answer. Sell what you have on hand and keep only the minimum supply over the summer--that's a 'no brainer'.

Nice, my last fill was $3.09 a gallon in March! I heat with wood and pellets, little cooking and hot water. Use about 60 gallons a year.

I sure am glad I'm on Natural gas. I pay about $40 a month for the forced air heating and water heater. Of course that turns around a bit in Summer when the HVAC is cranking 24/7,
Out LP provider called and offered me a deal in April at 2.70 a gallon. I usually shop in the summer months, but may have out smarted myself, we will see. I use about 700 gallons a year, and am down about 500 gal at present, benefits of spray foam insulation. I still have a 1k gal tank in reserve. A friend suggested owning your own tanks with a 1 year use reserve and it has been good advice. I buy from the cheapest source at the time for a refill on 2,000 gal.
Refill RV tanks was 2.99 gal 3 months ago, yesterday was 3.99 gal. Idaho
