Loose barrell

I have a 3-screw Single Six that has a loose barrel. I can unscrew the barrel with my hands. Can I remove the barrel, clean the threads, apply LocTite and reinstall the barrel using a strap wrench to solve this problem. The barrel seats firmly against the front of the frame and the sights are vertical.
If some has a better solution I would like to hear it.

Your plan ought'a do the trick. Not much loctite will be needed if the barrel's threads are "squeeky clean" as should be the cylinder frame's threads.
And, yes, get that front sight straight up, for SURE! Hopefullly the ejector housing will "fit" properly.
