Local AFB locked down

Wouldn't let me in this morning around 10:30. CPD/Sheriff had access road blocked. Probably some family moving in to base housing brought his reloading stuff with him. :roll:

COLUMBUS, Miss. (WCBI) – The Columbus Air Force Base has shut down its front gate and some surrounding buildings.

CAFB canines were alerted during a routine delivery inspection around 11 Thursday morning, according to a spokesperson.

The dog team signaled that a household good shipment was potentially unsafe to enter the base.

The Main Gate, Visitor Control Center, Exchange, Commissary and other buildings will be closed until further notice. Traffic is being diverted to the South Gate.
