Quigley Down Under movie trivia.

Father Goose was one of my favorite Grant movies.

Great movie.

Although so famous as the dandy Cary Grant was best with comedies like Bringing Up Baby, Operation Petticoat, Arsenic And Old Lace and more so with Father Goose.

Houton: Walter, was that you?

Eckland: No, it was Gretchen. The invisible friend.

Bringing Up Baby: "How did you think of a name like Bone, that isn't easy to do?". Or: "Susan, when a man is wrestling with a leopard in a pond he can't just run away.".

Some fine humor, and in many respects even better than his more serious works. And I love in Arsenic And Old Lace, where Peter Lorre of all actors is one of the more normal characters...What the hell?? :)

My parents named me after Cary Grant. It's been a PIA all my life. People can look directly at it in print and still see Gary.

There was another flub that no one seems to have noticed. Towards the end where Quigley out draws Rickman, he does something that most people do when first attempting fast draw shooting. I had to re-run that part of the video many times before I was sure about it. But when I first started shooting fast draw, I had trouble with shooting too low and hitting below the target. This is from being too anxious to get that gun out and shoot. I had to actually slow down on the draw until I could hit the target instead of shooting too low. Then I learned to speed up the draw without shooting too low.

Silverado, the kid and his double shot,you can see the blackpowder smoke shows he might have shot them in the ankles. As director, i would have had that shot re-done; bugs me worse than anything else in that movie, even more than Slick not knowing his knife was missing
