Loading the 32 S&W

Been loading up some 32 S&W (the short stuff) tonight.

1.4 gr of WW231. I fill up the trickler and with about 6 good spins i got my charge. Then stuff a 90 gr LSWC on top and crimp. The crimp is the hardest part. Loading on my Redding 32 H&R mag dies.

Debating getting siome dies especially made for 32 S&W...

Sure is fun to shoot. Make a great close range squirrel or rabbit load i think

I've been loading thin ctg. for about 15 years or so. The thing is that I have not yet found a gun so chambered that is strong enough to stand up to any 'improved ballistics', so I have pretty much stuck to factory pressures.

I have loaded bullets in the 95 gr. range with good results though, but stopped at 650 fps and let it go at that. 1.7 grs of AA3 and a F100 primer is probably the best all around I have found for it. 8)

I shoot these in my Single Seven so it handles what i feed it pretty well.

Possibly a good compromise; get the seater only & use the 32 mag for sizing.
Personally, I'm lazy & hate messing with die adjustments so buy the correct set. :mrgreen:
