Ok, I'm going to show my ignorance here and ask if anyone can recommend a reloading manual or reloading source for commercial LBT bullets for 44 magnum. I have been reloading straight wall revolver cartridges on and off for several years using only jacketed bullets but recently i have developed an itch for loading LBT lead bullets from Montana Bullet Works. Any and all suggestions are appreciated.

Many of the commercial makers use either a Lyman or RCBS style bullet shape and weight. You could even call them and try to find a cross match to a mold number. I love my Lyman books and I mostly load FMJ, I can't imagine anyone loading lead bullets not having a Lyman book.

Beartooth Bullets and Cast Performance are close. According to LBT, their bullets are not exact LBT designs, but are pretty close. If you contact LBT direct, Veral will tell you where to buy commercially cast genuine LBT bullets. There are a lot of so-so copies out there.

I use Hodgdon #26, Handgun Silhouette section starting loads for the weight I am working with and work up from there as the specific gun allows. If the bullet weight I have I go to the next heavier weight (290 bullet use 300 start load). Never had any problems doing this. #26 is older manual of course, fortunate enough to have TWO copies on hand. Sorry not for sale.

Dave at Montana Bullet Works makes excellent bullets, service is outstanding. I am pretty sure bullets he has listed as "LBT" are out of LBT molds, I know he uses LBT Lube. My .41 Hunter and .480 SRH both love his product. Getting ready to order some more in fact.
