lipseys flat top 4 5/8"

:D Gents: thanks for this thread! Local dealer just ordered a blue model and it should be here by Friday. :D

Happy Days are here again.

Now to find a replacement for those "pimp" grips....

Just picked up my stainless one today. Very nice. The cylinder throats seemed a tad tighter than the 5.5" barreled ones I have. A .451 pin gauge "just" fits through with a bit of pressure. Definitely will be reaming them out.

I like that a lot. A Bisley hammer and some American Holly grips....

I need to trade mine out for one of these.

Buffalo Bore has a 225 gr .45LC that does 1100+ fps and is said to be safe in all .45's...

(Love to know what powder it's powered by...)

Just sayin'.... 8)

What ya want to bet that it is HS-6 or something equivalent :)

I'm pretty sure I could get there safely with Blue Dot.

mrbumps, that is a beautiful gun. congratulations. I had my NM Blackhawk 45 Conv. out yesterday for a bit and its a nice shooter. I would prefer the smaller flat top frame like yours though.

You might have the perfect packing pistol right there sir.

Colleagues: just returned from picking up the blued 4 5/8” .45 Colt/ .45ACP.

All I can say is: get one if you can!

It is one sweet revolver. Trigger is fantastic. Bluing, the fit and finish are top notch.

November 3, 2011 is the fired case date , so Lippsey’s is shipping without delay. My serial # is 520-27682.

I was not that enamored with the faux ivory grips, but “in real life” they are not as objectionable as I first thought.

Now will a 4 5/8” .45 convertible Bisley be far behind? And maybe a 38-40 WCF?….

Kudos to Ruger and Lipsey‘s for this model.

And thanks to The Squeeze who bought it for my 32nd. anniversary gift.

I sure love mine! I too thought the grips might be goofy but I really like them!
