:D OK I have been out of collcting Rugers for several years and only a couple months ago started buying again, might need advise on prices, the pair I bought was on Gunsinternational, pretty nice with usual little chip marks by lead in notch, all I remember because didn't write the numbers down was that they were out of the gun shops accountant's safe and were 201??? and 500 numbers apart, Tri Color Lightweights, supposed to be here by USPS tomorrow, $1400 for the pair, the LWSC is at Cabelas, nice, with the 208822 serial for $500, then last week at a little shop in North Liberty Ia. I found a 99% L148 for $300, then at last local show got a RSS4 #173614, 99% for $450. Looking at on GB a nice 44FT for $875 and a nice BKH34 from lolosportinggoods for $650. Not sure what to pay for 44FT's and short barrel 357FT in this day and age. Thanks to all, all the Ruger collectors are still a great bunch.

Just looked, I forgot to add the L148 was a 1959 Bearcat but you all knew that, the FT 357 and 44 are both 1957, 11000 range on the 357 and 4 digit on the 44, hard to make out exact serial numbers in photos, they are available, is it still like at a gun show, as soon as I set it down its free to pick up. Thanks again,

weaselmeatgravey, Thanks for the numbers and I have a message into Ruger1441 to double check his same numbered gun. Thanks, Hank and again all posted and up to date. Current count at about 113 serial numbers collected so far.

Yup, the above "S" gun has a steel cylinder. Perhaps the "tri-color" nomenclature, despite being inaccurate, is used to indicate the "natural" colored aluminum cylinder frame.

Correctrion of previous post

I have # 200069 not 200097 (hey I said it was from memory) :?

206638 is blued with an alloy clylinder

201820 is Weaselmeats Seems the person reading off the numbers (me) screwed up and the scribe (me) didn't double check or I owned the gun at one time.

Then would that make a standard tri color actually a quadra color... :?: :?
