Each year, Grammy winners and Grammy nominees are determined as voted by the Recording Academy's Voting membership, which is composed of music creators, including artists, producers, songwriters, and engineers.

This is why I don't watch, as it's the industry breaking its own arm to pat itself on the back. The Oscars are even worse. I call that a bunch of people who play dress-up make-believe for a living, giving awards to people who play dress-up make-believe for a living. Now, if the consumers of the product were voting on these awards, they might be worth a little something.

Rooting for a victor in the Grammys sounds like rooting for a victor in the Iran/Iraq War or WWII Eastern Front: It's too bad they can't all lose. (Ditto for the Emmys and the Oscars.)

And if ratings are so bad the starlets and side pieces are reduced to walking around the place stark nekkid for attention, then I'd say the Grammys are about done.

I watched about 20 minutes and switched over to episodes of the NIGHT AGENT.

I have little use for what the networks are shoveling at us as entertainment. Complete freak show.
