Leaping coyote

My son caught this series of pics recently. He hung a turkey carcass (from last year's hunts, been in the freezer after breasting out the meat) and put some traps around underneath. Don't know if this yote was wise to the traps or just thought the leap/snatch/grab was the best way to get the turkey... Guess he left disappointed, he didn't leave a tip or anything.

Interesting. Notice the angle of the leap? How many traps did he set under that carcass? I'd put out at least 5 on a set like that.
 
I think there were 3 or 4 traps. Maybe he'll come back for another round. Been hard to set traps here lately, ground is either been wet n muddy or frozen solid. Best you can do is just put leaves over your sets. Caught a female in a snare a few days ago on the other end of the place from where these pics were made. You can see it's along a gravel roadway but it's all inside locked gates, no traffic.
