Kinda Cool Letter from Ruger

I picked up a stainless No. 1 45/70 in Tulsa last month. I had it lettered and it shows it was used as a show sample for 10 years. The rifle is not stamped with a “S” or “U” that I have found.

That is a interesting letter, thanks for sharing.

I think that the “S / U” was a thing back in the day.
The “Bean Counters” ,,, a lot of the details have disappeared…

Ruger used variations including an * or even nothing.

I just sold a "new" red label dad got from rody's directly via ruger. It had the blue "used " tag but no U S or * I suspect yours originally had a blue tag in the box
