Can the LCP trigger be improved (lightened and less pull length) and how? Thanks Bru

I'd shoot Forum member "pinecone" a PM. He's a gunsmith. There's others on here, but I don't recall their usernames. "Rugerguy" might know too.

AZBru88, I am not aware of any custom "spring kits" on the market at this time for the Ruger LCP. The hammer and trigger springs are not conducive to modification that would make any significant difference in the trigger pull because of the way this pistol was engineered. You could smooth the trigger/hammer pivot pins and holes and the hammer/hammer catch engagements and ensure that the trigger bar moves smoothly but these actions alone will not significantly lower the pull very much. This is a single strike double action pistol and in order to have "reliable" ignition Ruger has designed it accordingly. I am sure it's possible that Wolff or someone else may in the future, put a lighter weight spring "kit" together for this pistol, given the popularity of it..........................Dick

Thanks Pinecone! It will just take a little getting use too! I think its probably best to leave it stock for now. Wait until someone perfects a spring kit for it. Using it as a back up. Love the lightness and ease of carry.
