LCP Magazine, getting harder to insert

When my LCP was new the magazine slid right in with no problem, not its getting harder and harder to insert, I am actually having to really pound the palm of my hand on it to get it to fully insert (its the only pistol I own I have to do this on)

also releasing it does not have any problems, it releases completely the moment I hit the button.

Normal or is something up?

Many of us push in the magazine release button as we insert the magazine. Look for more info at WWW.ELSIEPEAFORUM.COM on the LCP.

Might try wiping down the magazine with an lubricant, and cleaning mag well with an q-tip with a lubricant on it.

my experirnce has been the opposite. It was hard to insert the magand i had to push the release in to fully seat the mag...then I shot 100 rounds through it and EVERYTHING seemed to loosen up. The mag now slips in smoothly with a reassuring "click".
