LCP front (custom) sight questions

As I already mentioned somewhere in this forum, I really like the LCP customs sights made by innovationarms.

However, since I currently live in Peru, I cannot send my LCP to innovationarms.
I have to find a solution which (hopefully) can accomplished in my country of residence.

In this context I have two questions:

1)
Does the dove tail base of the innovationarms FRONT sight completely penetrate the slide?
(Considering the very small wall thickness of the LCP slide in this area I would say it does. But I do not know...)

2)
Do you think it is possible to mill a slot hole in the slide (which hole preferrably does not completely penetrate the slide wall) and to silver-solder a simple FRONT sight blade into this slot, i.e. as an alternative to the fixation by means of a dove tail?

#1 I can't help you with, as I don't have their front sight

#2 I would imagine that you could have a competent gunsmith perform this operation. I actually don't think it matters that much if you drill through the slide or not, as long as the bottom surface of the slide is filed smooth.

The one drawback is that if you silver solder, you will need to refinish the entire slide.

The serial number is not on the slide so possibly you could ship them just the slide.

Another approach would be to buy some white glow in the dark paint to apply to your factory sights.
