Does anybody know if the barrels of the Ruger LCP 1 and the LCP MAX are interchangeable with each other?

The shape of both barrels are partially different.

I've never tried it, but since you have both, give it a shot (no pun intended). Might be enough of a difference in the tilt notch, muzzle & slide that may not allow it.

They are not interchangeable . However you can use the LCP trigger in the LCP Max but you have to file down the trigger stop on the Max frame. The little nub to the rear of the trigger area. Just a couple thousandths of an inch and it will work. Shoots much better too. You can also put a LCP Max slide assembly onto a LCPII frame.

Look at your own 2 pics.....the under-lug where the cross-pin goes through...that area is machined totally differently. The MAX allows a bit more rearward travel, together, locked-in with the slide.... before it drops down....looking at the machining differences...and can account for the ad copy of MAX saying the gun was designed to offer less felt recoil. Just maybe.....try the swap and see how it hand-cycles ???
