I've had my LC9 for approximately 3 weeks and have put about 300 rounds through it without any problems. EXCEPT the rear pin that is located below the hammer drifts to left after shooting a couple of mags of ammo. It is easy to reseat it to a flush position. My first thought is to put a little blue locktite on prior to reseating. Will this work? Or will it cause any harm?

You may want to contact ruger and see if they can send you out a new pin...I Have 700 rnds through mine and no issues...

Received the following response from Ruger regarding the hammer catch pin on my LC9 drifting to the left after firing several rounds:

Response:
It is normal for the hammer catch pin to walk out up to about 1/16th of an inch due to the way the hammer catch spring attaches to the pin. If you are seeing the pin walk out further than that please call our Customer Service Department at (928) 778-6555 between 8:00 am and 4:00 pm MST, Monday through Friday and a representative will help you make arrangements to have the pistol returned to the factory for evaluation and repair.

1/16 of an inch is about what it is drifting. Will blue locktite keep it from walking? Has anyone else had this happen with their LC9? So I guess if your LC9 pin is not walking then it is not normal???

I asked them in my original email and they didn't give an opinion one way or the other. I think I'll apply a drop on both ends of the pin and see if it stops walking.

As a follow up I applied blue locktite on each end of the pin and today is the first time at the range that the pin did not walk. Looks like the locktite is working. Now I need a battery for the lasermax.
