Justice prevails - scammer sentenced

Shared to us by member Mr.deerstalker. He was a pit bull in chasing this guy down and with pressure on law enforcement in Phoenix, AZ.

Can’t remember the User Name used by Michael Spector but here’s some of the details. Think this dates from late 22 thru early 23.

Docket: CR2025-006598-001 and prosecuted by:

Austin Peril
Deputy County Attorney
Phoenix, AZ.

You can search online for details if you like. Short story is ….. guy is age 81. Lives in a hotel with Social Security as his only income. Did spend 30 days in jail and recently sentenced to 2 years supervised probation with several conditions including full restitution. The county will collect the money, give it as priority before fines and court fees and will remit to the victims..

Thread 'Scammer Alert Michael Spector Exposed'

If anyone on this forum or any other forum has been scammed by a Michael Spector in Phoenix Arizona please contact me. I am working with a detective that has found Mr. Spector. The problem is the D.A. is hesitant to do much as Mr. Spector was smart enough to keep his scams under $1,000 and unless multiple people come forward he will escape prosecution.

Glad they caught him and 'drilled him a new one'... but I'm skeptical about the full restitution thing....and getting the victims their money back.
