Monday I went in for my third of three BCG cancer treatments i get quarterly for two years. A week earlier my doctor said in about three months he wants me to go into surgery for a better idea whats going on inside me. My last biopsy had some cells that did not look quite right. Back to Monday i was sitting in the waiting room when i noticed a small rainbow appear on the arm of the chair across from me. Six colors red, orange, yellow, green, blue and purple. Then it was gone. I then felt my left hand getting warm. The rainbow was now on my left hand and i felt a lot of the stress and fear leaving me. Just then the nurse called me to go in the back and the rainbow was gone. The nurse gave me my treatment and then the doctor came in to talk to me. He said that i don't have to go into the hospital at this point and the cells that didn't look right may be from the treatment i had the week before. This is the second time i have had some form of cancer. First time radiation and hormone shots took care of it. This time the BCG treatments seem to be working. I am one lucky person between the Almighty and my wifes health insurance, i may stick around for awhile. The strange thing about the rainbow is it was all cloudy and overcast with no sun that day.

Thank you for sharing this. These accounts always intrigue me and I admit I find them most comforting. I'm happy to hear your good news and wish you continued peace.

Thanks for sharing. I find I am looking for positive signs lately. A few weeks ago, while being examined for a very painful kidney stone, a mass was found on my other kidney. I've been told that the odds are 80-95% that it is cancer. I'm now awaiting the results of the biopsy to find out what kind of surgery I am facing (removal of the tumor, or more likely, removal of the entire kidney). A bit of rainbow to give me some confidence for the future would be nice. But in any event, I am determined to live the best life I can whether it be for only a short time, or for (hopefully) many more years to come.

A long time ago, Jimmy Valvano, then basketball coach at NC State...while dieing of cancer, uttered the words:
Never give up, never ever give up. 5 + years ago my mother in law was diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. We all were
told 12-18 months tops...it is only recently that the cancer appears to be getting faster acting...we think this was her
last Christmas with us...but as I told her then: Never give up, never ever give up. She didn't and is still with us...
my prayer for all suffering today is to look for the rainbow and Never, never ever give up.
What a wonderful story above to start the New Year with...the power if the rainbow....and prayer.

I am happy for you that a sign came to you. I believe in GOD and your experience would rate a sign from HIM to me. I will pray for you and yours.
Please do not give up hope. There is a GOD. Be strong. My best wishes.
Rick
