No big deal, put a coat on and wear gloves. I grew up with this and got to be 72 so far. When it gets to -25 for several days, then talk to me about it. It really never lasts for all that long. If you have to spend the whole day outdoors, then you have something to Rosie O'Donnell about. Been there, also.

-12 this morning in north MO. Got up to almost +10 by mid-afternoon and then dropped back down to +6 at 9pm.
Hoping the old farm pickup starts tomorrow. Didn't go this morning but think I've got a lead on the persistent no start problem.
How cold it is depends directly on how long one has to be outside. I was fairly comfortable this morning although fingers were getting cold after an hour of chores. ;)

I was picking Canistel and Sapodilla in my yard dressed in a tank top and jeans today. It was our first day above 60 in a while at 72+/- and after the long cold rainy snap we had it was welcome.

While not in the negative range I have seen low single digits on my front porch (7). At this point anything above 32 degrees will be a HEAT WAVE!. Right now (as I type at 11:37 am Wednesday 22 Jan) it is 14 degrees.

-3 at my place this morning (7am), up to 11 right now.

Turd - I spent 4 years up at Minot AFB, ND so I can also say I've spent my time in the frozen northern plains. Winters are not fun, but you adapt. We had a CMSgt getting ready to retire. We asked him where he was going to retire. He said, "I'm going to drive south. When I stop and someone asks me why I have electric cords sticking out the front of my truck, then I'll start looking".
