Is $450 a fair price for Ruger NM SBH .44 stainless?

Sounds a smidgen high for here too... The hunting season factor may be boosting it a bit... I'd ask about the cash money out the door deal..

Well, a year ago I would've thought that's about $50 to $75 too much but in this political climate all bets are off....Dennis (Who's looking for a nice 10.5" SBH but wouldn't pay $450 for it)

I'd say $350 - $375 tops in my area. I just bought a 95% blue SBH with two holsters for $300 last week. I paid $350 OTD for my stainless SBH a couple years ago and prices have gone up but not to $450. Of course the prices vary widely according to area and availability / demand. JM2C

Ok, sounds like a consensus. It is actually listed at $420, but tax will bring that up to $450. Looks like I have to decide if I want to "buy it too soon," which is what I now call overpaying a little. Several other guns I bought too soon turned out alright...

Ultimately, you have to decide what it's worth to you. Most of the time, I wouldn't let paying $25 too much stop me if I really wanted it.

I purchased a new stainless SBH 44 mag in 4 5/8 last month. I paid $465.00 for it.

I found one used, and am not sure what the going rate is. This one is used, in excellent condition. Thanks.

If it's a 7.5" barreled gun, in the box, and like new, I try to negotiate to $420. If it's a 5.5" barreled gun, boxed in the same condition, I'd buy it.
