There's a report on this introduction on Zero Hedge.

https://www.zerohedge.com

You'll need to visit the site yourself and look for the Tesla story.

I won't post the direct link to the story, because the link contains an un-family-friendly phrase which was uttered by Elon Musk during a "surprise" at the unveiling.

Here's the printable part of the story title:

Elon Musk’s Bizarre Cybertruck Unveiling Goes Horribly Wrong

.

IMHO it's a great introduction for the tree-huggers - it's the perfect mall-terrain vehicle ! .

.

Let's see, I live in a rural area. I occasionally need a truck to haul 'stuff' to the dump. I rarely travel over 120 miles, round trip. So, other then the fact that it is ugly and a bit pricey it would be perfect for my needs. I also am NOT a tree hugger.

Well, I believe it has the 500 mile range someone in another thread wanted. But it looks like the designers were smoking something when they designed this “truck.”

It really does look like electric vehicles are going to be the future. With the Mustang and now this uglyfied truck.

Stealth??? With all the odd angles, maybe it can't be detected on radar.

500 mile range is the RWD model under perfect conditions, if it works like the Model 3 the range will be more like 350 miles in the real world with no heater or hauling, then a couple of hours to charge it. Elon Musk is the modern day P.T. Barnum, currently we do not have the infrastructure in place for millions of electric cars to be charged, repaired, and recycled. Anyone who has ever been stuck on I78 in a snowstorm for several hours would never consider an EV, a hybrid sure, but not an EV.

Maybe the designers should have tried smoking something. Anyone can sit a draw a bunch of straight lines. It's wonder it doesn't have square wheels.

If it wasn't for my taxes providing the credit to the rich kids that buy these glorified golf carts, Tesla would have been out of business years ago. Fed up with subsidizing these dilettante-mobiles.

Naw, electric vehicles won't work. Once the socialists are in charge we won't have any functioning power plants, so no electricity. Get a horse, is my recommendation.

And I agree - that is a fugly vehicle.

Do you know what socialists used for lights before they had candles?

Electricity.

Harsh: "A futuristic blend of ugly and useless."

No, actually, it's a throwback to cheesy seventies sci-fi. It looks like a Damnation Alley post-apocalyptic golf cart. Elon needs to take that thing back to whichever episode of Space: 1999 he stole it from.

CyberTruck also isn't that durable, as Elon found out. Check out the comments at the above link, which are priceless.

It's only lacking a brush guard and Confederate flag. With that, I'm in.

Looking at it, you wouldn't even know it was a pickup truck unless someone told you. Looks more like a Hummer redesigned by George Jetson.
