This is very good footage. I was intimately involved With Mini Guns and Vulcan cannons at one time in my life. In movies, sound tracks dub over the actual sound of a rotating gun, to make them sound like a machine gun. Extremely inaccurate to do so, but it's what the civilian public can more relate to. The link above is very accurate in the sound department. Note too, there are some much slower weapons being fired simultaneously.

It is comforting to know how accurately a Phalanx and other products can acquire a target long before a human being has a clue of what's happening.

The A-10 normally fire in 1-2 second bursts.
So the recoil doesn't place them in contact with the earth.
I saw one video where an A-10 pilot said he did a long burst and had to go nose
down to keep up enough air speed to keep from crashing.

:D

Wonder where those tens of thousands of rounds are landing.

I'm thinking....on those people that fired the rockets....

That sounds a lot like the Gatling gun in the nose of the A-10 Warthog. 8)
Smaller only 20mm instead of 30. It a real set it and forget it defense system. Except for the 6 guys running around trying to keep them reloaded.

Would love to see the loading of that weapon while firing! Seems you would need a bulldozer pushing rounds into a hopper!! Lol

Coolest thing I've seen all day! The world's most expensive skeet!

TRUE!

How hot must those barrels get and how many rounds before needing replacement?
