I think there might have been two issues of these guns. I have one that is #250of 500. Beautifully finished 10 1/2" tapered barrel gun. Bought it used off this forum. Don't know about any boxes.

Don't know about an IHMSA two gun set of Ruger "Silhouette Super" SBH's; sounds incongruous.
The boxed "Silhouette Super" configuration came with the original tapered 10-1/2" barrel with silver soldered ramp front sight, and the standard length, anodized aluminum ejector housing. I was involved in design and placement of the IHMSA rollmark. The rollmark was ordered by Elgin Gates and sent to Ruger, where it was applied before bluing.
I cannot tell from which wood the box is constructed. It may have been called "walnut," or perhaps the wood was unnamed. Resembles mahogany more than walnut. Since mahogany forests have generally been stripped, I suspect the wood may be black birch, a mahogany look-alike. Black birch is also called "sweet birch" and "mahogany birch." (Black birch is straighter-grained than white or silver birch, which don't resemble mahogany at all.
The box came with a rectangular cast brass IHMSA logo, filled with yellow enamel. If you have a photo of a two-gun set, I'd like to see it.
Ron Ricci and others may be able to provide more accurate info on this, or these, IHMSA editions.

Is the two gun set in ONE box? Also, are any of the cylinder frames plum in color? My # 250 has a beautiful rich plum color. That's the only reason I bought it. The barrel is way too long.

Based on the Ruger Reference (RENE), there appear to be 3 groupings of these:
1 of 100 S/N range 82-65806 - 8372280 based on S47N
1 of 500 S/N range 83-06xxx to 83-41261 based on S410N
1 of 500 S/N range 83-80078 to 83-80182 based on S410N
From Ruger Reference (p.72 of binder size), "Features 3-line "IHMSA SILHOUETTE 500" rollmark on topstrap along with IHMSA logo and has the IHMSA logo on the bottom of the grip frame along with an individual number from "1" to "500". In addition to standard Ruger packaging, this issue was also sold with genuine mahogany case with fitted wood insert (similar to Ruger's Super Blackhawk mahogany cases circa 1959 to 1961) with special rectangular (top to bottom)yellow and black enamel "INTERNATIONAL HANDGUN METALLIC SILHOUETTE ASSOCIATION" medallion inletted into the top of wood box insert. This variation may not have been a factory authorized issue, but is listed for completeness in this section."
Based on what Mr. Bradshaw indicates, it appears this was done thru the factory.
Looking at the S/N range in the Reference, the first 2 listed are below that, and may explain the special 2 set box, photos would be nice!

The boxes are mahogany and reminiscent of the original Super Blackhawk Mahogany cases made in the 1959-1960 time period.
