The reason I wrote the IBOKs was a perk for Ruger forum members. I set it up for an email request so I could verify the requester's membership. Distributing the IBOKs via a web site would totally destroy the reason I wrote them so I don't want to do that.

Sorry it had to come to this but a few greedy people have ruined it.

I just found this forum because someone was talking about IBOK on another site, I did a search and came up with this site.
Looks like a great Ruger site..........but I guess no IBOK
Is finding IBOK just a lost cause or will it every be offered again?

IBOK did a good job getting me here to this site.
However a few greedy people has ruin it! :x

I tried to get IBOK a few weeks ago and didn't know that Yahoo was refusing large files.
By the time I figured it out (today) it was too late.
I certainly sympathize with Iowegan's frustration and don't blame him a bit.

However if someone were to take pity on me and send me a copy of the GP100 version I would sure appreciate it.

No problem. Just type anything in for the subject/body of the email. Insult me, my mother, tell me my ass looks fat in those jeans, whatever. I don't read them. I just delete them every day without looking. I set the email account up just for this purpose.

How is this "a slap in the face"? He complained about spam in his email.

This email address I set up can receive all the spam it can handle. I don't read it, I just clear out the inbox every day.

I thought I was doing a favor here. Guess me and the email address I set up aren't welcome here.

Goodbye Ruger forum. Good bye IBOK via email. I will be deleting the email account so you can look for another source for the GP100 IBOK, if you can even get it now, seeing as how Iowegan won't send it out anymore.

Wow! Got mine just in time then. Slap in the face or not, it is a very good document. Thanks Iowegan for writing it and thanks again Freakshow for providing an easy way to obtain it.

I don't see what the big deal was. Iowegan created and excellent document that is a big help to guys like me but was getting spammed trying to deliver it. Not good, but hard to prevent. Freakshow provided a service to get the document out to folks who may need/want it, without worrying about the spam. I thought it was an excellent effort and a good work around.

Now if Iowegan don't want it to go out anymore, then by all means stop. But if he don't care, I would recommend, freakshow, you continue the service. It will be greatly appreciated by a lot of folks. I figure if Iowegan don't like it, he'd say so.

Thanks Iowegan for the IBOK, it's great info. I do appreciate your knowledge and effort in making it. I hope in the future there is a way for you to deliver IBOK to the "Ruger Fans" who want it, need it, and seek it.
It would be a real tragedy if it became unavailable, for ever.

Thanks Freakshow for your good nature. I'm sure your intent to deliver IBOK was an unselfish act, that cost you time and resources, in order to feed the masses (Ruger Fans). You had nothing to gain from it.

After re-reading Iowegan's post (pg.3) he states he wanted to email it in order to "verify the requester's membership". So it should be his decision on how it should be delivered.

Just my thoughts on things.
Anyway, what a great site !

I gotta tell you I got my IBOK and did the action work on my Super Redhawk and was just amazed how great it turned out . Could have never done it without Iowegian help, and now everybody that I know who has a GP100 style revolver wants me to do theirs and I highly recommend the book to others,
