I realize blue is truditional but have had a love affair with stainless for a long time. Here's my 629 with a little longer tube. IMHO you did just fine! :)

Nice! I love my 629. I love the Redhawk, but I must confess to liking my 629 better than any .44 Mag I ever owned.

If you decide to move her, let me know. I'd love to find a nice older Smith. I had a good friend who worked for them forever and it would be a nice way to remember him.

I'm in the Twin Cities.

Let me say this up front. I think most of us on this forum aren't tied down to the Ruger brand. We all like Rugers or we wouldn't be here. I like some Ruger revolvers and autos, but also like Colts, S&Ws, Brownings and others as well.

I don't think you swerved, just expanded your interest. Nice gun!!

Makes me wonder what a set of Grashorn's elk stags would look like on stainless. I have had them on blue, but they looked good on a nickel gun too.

I put these Grashorn Elk Horn Grips on my 29 for a better fit. the terget grips were nice but just felt too big.

Now she feels just right!

I really want Ivory, but can't spend the $$ for them just yet.
