Sitting here admiring my Ruger/Lipsey Blackhawk Flat Top 44 Spl
5-1/2 Bbl (unfired yet).....thought I'd better supply a Warning Order
to the 44 Spl Enthusiasts.......

Stopped at my favorite haunt Gun Store, First Stop Gun & Coin
701 Main St, Rapid City, South Dakota, on the way home from
work the other day......
They have 2 (two) Ruger/Lipsey Blackhawk Flat Top 44 Spl
5-1/2 Bbls.

Mark or Mike (owners) are great to deal with.

Didn't get a chance to stop at First Stop Gun to see if
the Ruger/Lipsey Blackhawk Flat Top 44 Spl 5-1/2 Bbl
sold.

What of curiosity, was anyone on the Forum able to
purchase one?

I hope someone was able to use the information.

Noresman,

Thanks for the heads up on the Lipsey!

I was just surfing around and came upon this site and your message. It was Saturday evening. So I called on Monday Morning and got a Lipsey 44 with the 5.5" barrel. My local gun shop had already told me there was not much chance of finding one.

So, it came in today and I'll pick it up on Monday. Can't wait!

Have you shot yours yet?

Thanks again.

John

I sure am happy with my .44 Lipsey Special (5½"). It shoots well under 1" at 25 yards. It handles quite well and I LIKE IT, I DO, I DO, I DO!!

I only waited fifty years for this...

Now that I've read that the new Flattop Blackhawk 44 is in the cataloge for 2010 I'm wondering if there is anyway to distinguish the Lipseys from the regular Rugers? I'm wondering if mine might not be a Lipsey (haven't picked it up yet). Not that it makes any difference, but is there any difference? Are the 2010 guns being produced yet?

I'm really looking forward to getting my hands on it!

No, I have not shot my Ruger/Lipsey Blackhawk Flat Top 44 Spl 5-1/2 Bbl
yet.

It is more of a Collector for me. Who knows maybe trading stock.

I have been too busy with my other 44 S&W Special Revolvers.

You will have to give us a Field Report when you get your Ruger/Lipsey
44 Spl.

Glad I could help someone out.
